First off, if you see a bag full of dialed camera gear on the back of someone who isn't 7ft tall, it's Raine Turnbull's. Raine got all his camera gear stolen the other day & has been fuming ever since with good reason - this isn't your average run of the mill camera either, Raine's camera & gear is worth about $8000 & includes the following: Bronica Sq Medium Format Camera as well as.. Nikon F90X 35mm Camera with a 50mm lens. All of this was in a single camera back pack, so keep a look out. Raine is one of the best photographers in Aus, I can't even begin to say how much thieves suck, my Datsun 1200 ute got stolen the other day & now this, BMX community is getting targeted? Maybe. Anyway, on to better news. Shaun Jarvis from Freestyle Now came over to visit last week & it was a damn hoot. Freestyle Now is a Perth based organisation that puts on demos, comps & basically just promotes everything BMX, it's awesome. Jarvi also was responsible for running the Down Underground Flatland Comp series, he pretty much just works hard. He also took 2nd in his class for the series too, killer. Jarvi spent a couple of days just hanging out and the store & riding around Canberra on his bike to see the sites, which is a feat considering the gearing he runs. Thanks for coming over Jarvi! Oh, our e-mails are all good. - Tyson
Jarvi throwing down the undertaker & telling me when to take the photo at the same time. You might be wondering what that sign is doing in the window.. we're moving! Bigger & better Back Bone, coming soon..
Jarvi's custom engraving on the new Colony Flatland stem..
Just when you thought Rhysty was all about jumps, he brings out one of his favourite tricks from 1987.. that's right kids, his favourite trick to do back in 1987. Funky Chicken!
